At Optimal Health & Wellness, we have access to and provide advanced diagnostic screening tests from blood tests to body and brain scanning. These tools are very helpful in allowing us to reach the underlying cause of your disease, as well as helping us to draw up an individualized treatment approach. Many of these tests can be covered by your PPO insurance. This is a partial list of the types of testing we offer.
Vibrant Wellness lab testing offers a wide variety of testing from functional lab testing, hormones, Lyme testing, mycotoxin/mold testing, micronutrient testing, intestinal barrier assessment, blood-brain barrier assessment, gut microbiome testing, SIBO testing, food sensitivities, and more.
The PULS Cardiac Test is a simple, non-invasive blood test that uses 9 protein biomarkers to identify individuals with active, yet undetected subclinical Coronary Heart Disease (the “vulnerable patients”) who are at risk of experiencing an acute coronary event due to endothelial damage leading to unstable lesion rupture, and in whom early intervention can help. It is a simple blood test that detects the leading cause of heart attacks: Unstable cardiac lesion rupture.
Genova Diagnostics offers advanced speciality testing including comprehensive nutrient evaluation, gastrointestinal testing, environmental testing, and more.
The GI-MAP (GI Microbial Assay Plus) stool test utilizes cutting edge, Quantitative PCR technology to provide a true DNA/PCR based stool test. This technology has high sensitivity, specificity and a rapid turnaround. The GI pathogens include bacteria, parasites and viruses. Continuing with this platform, the GI-MAP measures opportunistic organisms, normal flora, fungi, parasites and antibiotic resistance genes. And the Plus refers to immunologic markers for GI health and function including SIgA, Elastase, Calprotectin and Anti-gliadin testing.
Doctor’s Data labs are used to evaluate heavy metal levels, minerals, drinking water analysis, gastrointestinal health, and more.
The Great Plains Laboratory, Inc. is a world leader in providing testing for metabolic, genetic, mitochondrial, and environmental factors in chronic illnesses. They offer a variety of state-of-the-art metabolic and genetic tests such as the Organic Acids Test, GPL-TOX (Toxic Non-Metal Chemical Profile), IgG Food Allergies Test, and the newest test the GPL-Mycotox Profile for screening mold.
SpectraCell offers a comprehensive micronutrient test with antioxidants and testing for telomere length.
Cyrex™ is a Clinical Immunology Laboratory Specializing in Functional Immunology and Autoimmunity. Cyrex™ offers multi-tissue antibody testing for the early detection and monitoring of today’s complex autoimmune conditions.
DNA Connexions performs targeted genetic testing to identify inherent conditions and foreign DNA and provide necessary information to healthcare providers for treatment. Foreign bacterial, viral and fungal and parasitic microbes can be identified from root canal, cavitation, implants and other oral samples. DNA Connexions offers a Lyme panel that checks for the DNA of the organisms. The test uses primers which are specific for the genes of the Borrelia burgdorferi flagella, outer surface protein A, B and C. A positive test result for any of these 4 genes indicates the presence of the Lyme organism. Testing of common Lyme co-infectors (other tick-transmitted organisms) indicates likely infection with the Lyme spirochete as well. DNA Connexions currently tests for Babesia divergens, Babesia duncani, Babesia microti, Bartonella bacilliformis, Bartonella henselae, Bartonella quintana, Borrelia miyamotoi, Borrelia recurrentis, and Ehrlichia chaffeensis and Anaplasma phagocytophilum.
Cologuard is a simple non-invasive stool test that allows you to screen for colon cancer from the comfort of your home. Cologuard uses a special kind of technology that’s quite innovative. It’s called sDNA (stool DNA) technology and it detects cancer and highest-risk precancers. It makes Cologuard the most accurate, noninvasive colon cancer screening test that you can rely on.
Innovative Diagnostics can be used for early detection of cancers with testing for colon cancer, lung cancer, and prostate cancer.
3D Body Analyzer
A comprehensive scan that provides 3-D images of your body organs and systems and fast, precise, scientific measurements of your health and risk factors. The test is non-invasive and very quick to complete.
We offer Pathway Fit and Skin Fit tests.

You will learn how to proactively address your skin health through lifestyle, care, and nutrition improvements. Gain insight into which skin nutrients and topicals will benefit your skin the most. You can learn which procedures are recommended for you based on your skin genetics.
Early cancer confirmation test. The IvyGene Platform utilizes advanced sequencing techniques to analyze DNA Methylation patterns of cell-free DNA (cfDNA) in whole blood. The sequence along with the pattern of methylated DNA are consistent with cancer presence. This gives providers and patients access to important data regarding the health of patients at the time of testing. The IvyGene series of testing can confirm the presence of cancer, as early as stage 1, provides measurable information about cancer. Unlike many genetic tests that use DNA to determine the propensity or possibility of developing cancer over time, the IvyGene test identifies DNA methylation patterns consistent with actual disease presence at the time of testing.
