DESCRIPTION
Dr. Christopher Chang is a board-certified doctor in Naturopathic medicine. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) in Physiology and Neuroscience and acquired his Naturopathic medical degree from Bastyr University in San Diego, California. Utilizing the philosophies of Natural medicine, he approaches his patients with a holistic mindset, understanding the importance of the social determinants of health such as stress, sleep, and nutrition.
As a member of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association (CNDA), Dr. Chang has been engaged in discussions for integrating conventional and traditional medicines together in order to optimize patient care and improve overall health for the population. He has a particular interest in regenerative medicine and musculoskeletal conditions and, having experienced the many different aspects of medicine through his time as an EMT and work with patients in palliative care, promotes the need for preventative care. He has been trained in prolotherapy, IV nutrition, herbs/nutraceuticals, specialized machine procedures (e.g. laser therapy), and regenerative medicine such as PRP joint injections in order to provide comprehensive care for his patients that not only addresses the local issue, but also treats the underlying problem.
